How much does each lunch cost and how do I pay?

 

The Twist Club runs as a non-profit organisation for the benefit of its members. The cost of lunch is $120.00 per head. Payment can be made by bank transfer prior to the meeting or by cash or cheque at the meeting. Twist Club account details for bank payments are as follows:

Have a copy of your receipt and bring it along to the event. Make sure your name and details ie “J Brown lunch 1/1/16” are included in the description of your payment to ensure funds are allocated correctly. It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that any accompanying guests have paid.

 

How do I get involved with the committee?

Any financial member is eligible to become involved with the committee.  Members can nominate for positions at the AGM held in February each year, and are appointed by simple majority, with the exception of President, Vice President and Fines Master. New members are encouraged to nominate and assist in selection of the many fine wine and dining options available to our members.

 

How do I become a member?

Membership of the Twist Club is limited by the Constitution. Membership applications can be made via our website – www. twistclub.net – or at our meetings. Applicants will be required to be proposed by a member in good standing and seconded by another member. The annual subscription is to be paid at time of application (currently $180, prorated) and the application is reviewed at the next committee meeting.  Guests who attend three (3) meetings are required to apply for membership. Annual fees are due and payable at the first meeting of each calendar year.

 

How do I confirm that I am attending a meeting?

 

The secretary sends out a newsletter 2-3 weeks before each meeting date, generally via email, with details posted on the website. Members are required to respond confirming their attendance and, if appropriate, the number of guests they will be bringing. Guests are limited to three (3) per member per meeting. Confirmation may be made by email as directed in the newsletter or by RSVP on the website.
